Welcome to the ever-evolving, ever-migrating #mythicfolk community which was established in 2002. We’ve moved from a phpbb bulletin board on mythopoetica.com to livejournal to facebook to now our very own chatroom on Undernet. This blog will be part of an exciting new project which spans both http:// and irc, designed at bringing the community and everyone else interested back to the roots of the internet, to study myth and folklore in all its manifestations, evolutions and revolutions. Mythic Folk has existed as a community based on the mythopoetica.com domain since 2002, surviving a spontaneous migration across various social networking apparatuses and irc manifestations since that time. This group-blog and forum continues with the original ethos of the Treeboards to explore new mythic (r)evolutions in books/literature, cinema, television, anime/manga and art. We're always eager to hear new viewpoints and discussion on various blog posts are welcome!
